Vacancies at ISS: Two Assistant Professors in Migration and Development

The successful candidates will have a broad interdisciplinary academic training and experience, including a background in (international) migration and development studies.

Both are expected to play a central role in ISS teaching and research on migration. Knowledge is expected of both international and intra-national migration, from a perspective of global development and governance. Expertise in issues of migrants’ situation in host societies is desirable.

  1. Post-doc Sustainable Development, Inequalities and Environmental Justice
    The main task of the post-doctoral researcher is to support the Prince Claus Chairholder in the research on sustainable development, inequalities and environmental justice.

  2. Vacancy for Professor of Technology and Global Development
    The main role of the Coordinator is to manage the everyday operations of a team of project officers supporting externally funded research and capacity-building projects at ISS as well as directly managing a portfolio of your own projects.

Established in 1952 as the International Institute of Social Studies by Dutch universities and the Netherlands Ministry of Education it does research, teaching and public service in the field of development studies and international cooperation.
