The Department of Sociology and Work Science is now recruiting a doctoral student in sociology with a research focus on migration and integrations issues.

The doctoral position is connected to a graduate school in migration and integration, funded by the Swedish Research Council, which is run through a partnership between the Department of Sociology and Work science and the Centre for Global Migration (CGM) at the University of Gothenburg and the Institute for Migration, Ethnicity and Society (REMESO) at the University of Linköping.

The graduate school aims to expand and promote the education of future researchers and intends to function as a centerfor doctoral education and networking within the field of migration and integration. The partnership gives doctoral students access to a wide range of empirical research fields as well as theoretical and methodological approaches. The graduate school will offer theoretical and specialized courses in areas such as intersectionality, nationalism and ethnicity, international migration policy, migration and climate change, citizenship and civil society, residential segregation, international law, political economy, labour market and working life.
