From October 11 to 22, the 10th MiReKoc International Summer School will take place on campus at Koç University (İstanbul) and online. The summer school focuses on methodologies and ethics in migration studies and aims to strengthen the corresponding knowledge of junior researchers in the field. This year’s program also features lectures by several members of the IMISCOE Standing Committee Methodological Approaches and Tools in Migration Research (Meth@Mig). More specifically, Albert A. Salah (Utrecht University) will present “Big Data in Migration Research”, Steffen Pötzschke (GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences) will introduce participants to “Surveying Migrants through Social Media”, and Ricard Zapata Barrero (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) will give a lecture on “MedThinking and Knowledge Production on Mediterranean Migration Research”.
