Join "Migrant Transnationalism” (MITRA) Standing Committee

23 February 2021

We are creating a new and updated list of members for our Standing Committee and we would like to ask you to confirm whether you would like to be affiliated as a member of the “Migrant Transnationalism” (MITRA) Standing Committee or not.

Membership in MITRA is possible for anyone who has a research interest in migrant transnationalism, and who is primarily working within an academic institution. PhD students are warmly encouraged to join. As a member you are encouraged to participate at MITRA events, where you could participate, or help spread news about these to relevant colleagues and post-graduate students. Our primary channel of communication is the MITRA Twitter handle (@imiscoe_mitra) which we hope you will follow to keep up to date on events, publications and other news.

We will also send occasional emails to members, such as in connection with a planned MITRA symposium later in 2021, when planning for the MITRA IMISCOE conference sessions for the 2022 conference, or when the time & format/venue of our annual meeting is decided (normally at the annual conference).

If you would like to be a member in MITRA; please confirm by clicking here and entering the requested information in the MITRA questionnaire and membership form.

If you do not want to be affiliated with the IMISCOE MITRA Standing Committee, simply ignore this message – no further action is needed.

We are planning webinars for the coming months featuring ‘migrant transnationalism’ research, as well as conference sessions at the annual conference and a symposium later in the year, as well as further engagement with PhD students in IMISCOE. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or ideas!

Finally, feel free to share this message with any colleagues whom you think this might be of particular interest to, including any PhD students.
