RUNOMI Annual conference 2020: Migrant inclusion studies in times of COVID-19 global pandemic

28 October, 2020

The Radboud University Network on Migrant Inclusion (RUNOMI) is organizing its second annual conference on 28 October this year. The programme of the virtual conference will be an inspiring mix of short small-scale sessions and a plenary programme to inform and engage the participants with urgent matters concerning migrant inclusion studies in times of corona.

During the conference, members of RUNOMI will present their work in an inspiring pecha kucha session in which you can get an insight into the interdisciplinary and multi-facetted nature of RUNOMI and the topics that concern RUNOMI members. Moreover, the speakers will also tell you more about the struggles they experienced doing research during the pandemic, and how they tackled them.  This session is followed by a roundtable with two migrant organizations. This gives attendees the chance to get to know these organization and their work. However, attendees also get first-hand information on critical issues that the pandemic revealed regarding migrant inclusion and that and need to be researched and addressed by policies. Finally, the conference closes with a keynote by Professor Katharine Charsley (University of Bristol) on her insights from marriage-related migration and implications for the future research agenda on integration and Covid-19.
